We head to Tisey where we hike* through a pine forest to the view point where we see panoramic views of the Maribios volcanic chain. We visit Alberto Gutierrez, a self-taught sculptor who has been carving animals and themed reliefs into the cliff face and on rocks for decades, and view his impressive carvings. We stop for lunch at a rustic restaurant where you can also purchase tasty, local made and aged Italian- and Swiss-style gota and coa cheeses, and honey. After lunch we have a short hike to the waterfall Estanzuela where you can relax and swim. We head to Santa Cruz to visit Ebanisteria-Santa Cruz workshop which provides custom-made cigar boxes to some of the largest cigar makers in the area. You can have an espresso at the All Nica Cigar Store as you check out the walk-in humidifier and browse the selection of cigars on offer. You can purchase cigars with or without boxes at the Store, a great gift to take home with you.
